Calling Back Home

The most inexpensive and comfortable way to call home from Bulgaria is by using one of the two brands of phonecards on sale:
-1- Mobika (both the card and the phone booth are blue)
-2- Bulfon (orange color)

You may choose to use any of the Internet telephony web-sites to make a call home. There are many cybercafes or Internet clubs which charge between $0.50 and $1 per hour.

Emergency Numbers

These numbers are toll-free. Just pick the receiver and dial one of the following numbers:

...police -166
...ambulance -150
...fire brigade -160

In most cases, you'll most probably need to use Bulgarian phrases or the help of a native speaker if you want to understand what you are being told on the phone.
